I have over 20 years’ experience of working as a therapist with adults and young people within the NHS, CAMHS, schools/university, children’s charities, and social care. I have worked at The Maudsley Hospital, which is a leader in CBT research and training.  My varied work has led me to support individuals, families and couples. I also have experience in delivering groups with young people and conducted training to staff on Compassion and Mental Health awareness.

Common issues that I work with

Anxiety – social anxiety/health anxiety, Generalised Anxiety Disorder, panic attacks/disorder, OCD, PTSD, low self-esteem, Perfectionism, Depression, Bereavement, sleep issues, self-criticism issues, assertiveness issues, relationship difficulties, work-related stress, procrastination, binge eating, and struggling with work/life balance.

I have an interest in how the self-critic plays a large part in clients’ perception of themselves and others. I work compassionately with clients to understand how self-blaming can impact upon the ability to make changes.
